CIL Draft Charging Schedule Consultation

Wokingham Borough Council is consulting on a Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) Draft Charging Schedule. CIL is a charge applied to most new developments and the money is used to fund infrastructure to support growth.  

The council's current CIL Charging Schedule was adopted in 2015, and the consultation proposes some targeted changes to this. The proposed changes are set out in the Draft Charging Schedule and supported by evidence, including a viability assessment and information on infrastructure costs. The unaltered parts the adopted CIL Charging Schedule will continue to apply.

The consultation is open from Thursday 23 July until 23:59 on Monday 7 September 2026.

Representations are invited during the consultation period and should focus on whether the proposed amendments to CIL rates and zones are supported by appropriate evidence, and whether they satisfy the requirements of the CIL Regulations 2010 (as amended). Representations received after this time will not be considered.
