Local Plan Update

Earlier this year Wokingham Borough Council submitted the Local Plan Update 2023-2040:Proposed Submission Plan (LPU), and supporting evidence, to the government for examination. Subsequently, two Inspectors were appointed to undertake the examination.

The Inspectors have now sent notification of the examination hearing sessions. These will commence on Tuesday 18 November 2025 and will be held at the Wokingham Borough Council Civic Offices, Shute End, Wokingham, RG40 1BN. Hearing sessions can be attended by interested members of the public who wish to observe the proceedings.

If you submitted a representation in response to the Proposed Submission Plan publication (Regulation 19 consultation), you will receive a notification directly from the Programme Officer.
