Good Boost – Supporting Movement and Pain Management

Residents in Wokingham Borough can now take part in Good Boost, a rehabilitation programme to help manage pain, improve mobility and build confidence in movement.

Good Boost offers 8-week courses using NHS certified technology that provides exercises adapted to individual health needs and fitness levels, helping people with common issues such as back, knee, hip or shoulder pain. 66% of participants using Good Boost while waiting for healthcare reported an improvement in their symptoms.

Courses are currently available at Loddon Valley & Wokingham Leisure Centre, and include access to a discounted membership to access gym, swimming & classes. To sign up, follow this link: https://www.placesleisure.org/good-boost/

Move Through Menopause – A Supportive 8-Week Course

Move Through Menopause is an 8-week programme from Places Leisure, supporting women to better understand menopause, connect with others and explore how physical activity can help manage symptoms.

Each session combines guided group discussions on topics such as HRT, nutrition, work and wellbeing, followed by a group physical activity taster, suitable for all abilities. The course is delivered in a safe, supportive and social environment, ideal for anyone new to exercise or returning after a break.

Courses are running at Loddon Valley, Wokingham and Bulmershe Leisure Centres from February and March.

Places are limited. Residents can register online for their preferred centre and will be contacted with next steps: https://www.placesleisure.org/move-through-menopause/
