Please be advised that Wokingham Borough Council, as the Highway Authority, is issuing a notice under Section 14(2)(b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. No vehicles shall proceed along Broadcommon Road, Hurst between its junctions with Islandstone Lane and A321 Wokingham Road during the specified period.

Alternative Route:

The alternative route for all vehicles affected by the restriction shall be via Islandstone Lane and A321 Wokingham Road, or by this route in reverse

Reason for Closure:

This prohibition is necessary to enable contractors from Thames Water to safely carry out repairs to a water leak.

Access:

Access to properties or businesses within the boundary of the restriction will be maintained wherever possible.

Duration and Timings:

The restriction will commence on 29^th September 2025 and continue for a period not exceeding 21 days. It will only be in effect while the required traffic signs are lawfully displayed. The works are expected to be completed by 1^st October 2025.

Compliance:

The restriction will apply only during periods when traffic signs complying with the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016 are lawfully displayed.
